Climate Champions: Literacy for a sustainable future
We are 9 countries. These are Turkiye, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Jordan, Georgia and Italy.
The project aim is to:
Environmental Awareness: Students will gain a deep understanding of climate change, its causes, and effects, as well as actions they can take to mitigate its impact. Research Skills: Through various research tasks, students will develop the ability to gather, analyze, and present information on climate change-related topics. Collaboration and Teamwork: By working with peers from other countries, students will enhance their collaborative skills, learning how to communicate effectively and contribute to a team effort. Digital Competence: Using tools such as Padlet, Canva, and Flipgrid, students will improve their digital literacy, learning to create and share digital content responsibly. Critical Thinking: Students will develop critical thinking skills by engaging in debates and discussions, evaluating solutions to global issues, and forming their own informed opinions. Problem-Solving Skills: Through practical activities, like local eco-actions, students will learn how to implement solutions to environmental

We did our first online meeting. Teachers met online and talked about the project and themselves.
We have created our logos and ready to vote.
We did our online lesson. This time, teachers and students joined the lesson all together. They played a Kahoot game about being eco-friendly. It was educational and fun. After the game the founder asked questions to the students then we finished our lesson.
The students created their Ece-friendly ornaments. Actually we didnt celebrate Christmas in our country but they did some hand made decorations and had fun.They were for a Christmas tree. One of them did a tree, one of them did a sock for Santa Claus, the others did snowflakes.
For the other task, we thought about climate change and tried to do a presentation about Climate Change by using Canva
An finally we talked about how to save the animals from winter and then created our e-cards. İt was the last task in December. They used both Padlet and Canva.
In January, we have created an international presentation. The each students has a topic and they have created a presentation page about that topic. They used web 2 tool Canva.
